The hospital would not disclose exactly how many employees were affected by the staffing changes but confirmed none of the job cuts would impact direct patient care. Hospital officials said the job cuts were in response to an evaluation of the hospital’s business model.

Less than three months ago, the hospital was singing a different tune when it said it would not be announcing any layoffs in response to reduced Medicaid payments, according to the report.
