Dr. Marroquin will transition into the role from his current position as the medical center’s chief health care data and analytics officer.
In this new capacity, he will oversee UPMC’s network of 5,000 physicians and medical staff.

UPMC has named Oscar Marroquin, MD, president of physicians and of the university medical center, according to a July 19 news release.
