University of Michigan Health CEO Named Chair of Michigan Hospital Association

Doug Strong, CEO of the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers in Ann Arbor, Mich., has been elected the new chair of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, according to a University of Michigan Health System news release.

At MHA’s annual meeting on Mackinac Island, Mich., Strong laid out his goals for his one-year term of office. Those goals include shifting the healthcare industry’s focus to address the health and healthcare needs of populations of Michiganders, not just individual care episodes.
