The hospital’s inpatient admissions increased 8 percent for the same period. Capital investments during 2010 totaled $57.5 million, which included a medical office building, labor and delivery unit renovations and the continued rollout of the system’s electronic medical record, according to the report.
Spending on uncompensated care rose 10 percent to $36.8 million in 2010. The hospital’s spending on programs associated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine and its faculty physicians increased by 21 percent to $66.4 million.
