UCSF Medical Group Joins With Independent Practice Association

The University of California, San Francisco Medical Group and the Hill Physicians Medical Group, one of the largest independent practice associations in Northern California will affiliate, effective Jan. 1, according to a report in the San Francisco Business Times.

UCSF Medical Group members who treat patients outside the hospital will become participating members of Hill Physicians, according to the report.

UCSF Medical Group is currently affiliated with Brown & Toland Medical Group, but will end their affiliation after their contract ends in January due to conflicts regarding governance issues, according to the report.
