Trump reiterates plan to repeal ACA

Republican candidate Donald Trump took the stage Tuesday in King of Prussia, Pa., to present his ideas on healthcare to a cheering and chanting audience.

His speech took aim primarily at the ACA, which Mr. Trump said "means higher prices, fewer choices and lower quality." He noted that his rival, Hillary Clinton, wants to expand the law, which he claims will be even more expensive.

"If we don't repeal and replace Obamacare, we will destroy American healthcare forever," Mr. Trump said. "It's one of the single most important reasons why we must win on Nov. 8," he added.

In place of the healthcare reform law, Mr. Trump vowed to create a free market by expanding health savings accounts, creating a nationwide insurance market and allowing the sale of health insurance across state lines and letting states manage their Medicaid dollars through block grants.

If elected, Mr. Trump would call a special session of Congress to accomplish these goals, he said.

Though his speech was billed as healthcare-specific, after these remarks Mr. Trump went on to address manufacturing jobs, taxes and education.
