Despite the contentious debate surrounding it, the ACA seems to have diminished as a major campaign point for Republicans this election season, according to The Hill.
Senate Republicans have mentioned the healthcare law in just 12 percent of their ads this year, data from Wesleyan University shows, accounting for about half as many anti-ACA ads by Republicans from the same period in 2014.
The decrease represents an even sharper drop from 2010 and 2012, when the ACA was featured in one-third of Republicans' ads in both chambers of Congress, according to Wesleyan data reported by The Hill.
However, the ACA's appearance in the media was renewed last week after the Obama administration confirmed that customers would see an average of 25 percent premium increases across the U.S.
