TriHealth lays off 69 employees

Cincinnati-based TriHealth is restructuring operations, and 69 human resources, information technology, finance and corporate administration positions were cut as part of the process, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier.

The cuts were made "to enhance operating efficiencies and allocate additional resources to support continued innovations and patient care and services," TriHealth spokesman Joe Kelley told the Cincinnati Business Courier. TriHealth plans to outsource some of the jobs, according to the report.

Some of the affected employees could be eligible for comparable positions within TriHealth. Severance will be provided to those who choose to seek employment outside of TriHealth, Mr. Kelley told the Cincinnati Business Courier.

The layoffs represent less than 1 percent of TriHealth's 12,000-person workforce.
