The Boathouse CMO Performance Study surveyed CEOs of large organizations on how their role has changed over time and the biggest challenges they face.
Here are three takeaways:
- More than 9 in 10 CEOs surveyed said their job has become more complex than it was in years past.
- CEOs reported that their list of issues is expanding, with workforce challenges, the pandemic and then growth and innovation concerns as the top three. These issues are constantly being reprioritized too.
- About 43 percent of CEOs said that they had underestimated the effects of stakeholder issues on their leadership.
