Sites like 8kun, BitChute and GETTR are host to armies of online trolls and conspiracy theorists who are ready to pounce on misinformation, spreading rumors and lies around the internet that can seriously damage brand credibility and reputation. A recent example involved misinformation about the ongoing baby formula shortage.

“The targets are the companies and the brands and their executives,” Chris Krebs, former CISA director told Fortune. “The actors could be foreign governments, influencers, and conspiracy theorists.”

One artificial intelligence analysis of these underground sites revealed damaging theories circulating about some of the most powerful companies, including Amazon, Microsoft and Apple.

At Becker's 4th Annual CEO + CFO Roundtable, taking place November 2–5 in Chicago, more than 1,500 hospital and health system executives tackle decisions that determine whether organizations thrive or merely survive: protecting margins under cost pressure, choosing where to grow, renegotiating payer relationships, stabilizing the workforce and proving real ROI on technology. This is where leaders work through them together, face-to-face. Apply for complimentary registration now.
