The New Jewish Home taps Michael Luskin to lead board: 6 things to know

The New Jewish Home, a nonprofit geriatric health and rehabilitation system based in New York City, has welcomedMichael Luskin as its new board chair.

Here are six things to know about Mr. Luskin.

1. He became board chair Jan. 1, 2017.

2. In his new role, Mr. Luskin succeeds Elizabeth Grayer, the chair since 2012.

3. Mr. Luskin has served as a director of The New Jewish Home for more than two decades.

4. He is a partner at New York City-based law firm Luskin, Stern & Eisler and a bankruptcy expert who represents financial institutions and other parties in the state of New York and federal courts, according to a news release.

5. He is also a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and co-chair of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Litigation Committee of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association.

6. Mr. Luskin received his law degree from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Mass.
