Texas children’s health system to lay off nearly 100

Dallas-based Children’s Health revealed plans to close its home care division and lay off employees, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The health system said it plans to close its home care division in Dallas March 29. The move will result in 93 layoffs, according to the report.

Officials said they will work to place affected employees in other positions within the system.

“We are dedicated to making this transition as seamless as possible for patients. We are also committed to making this a respectful and supportive process for impacted team members by working to retain them in open positions where possible, and facilitate appropriate job placement counseling,” Children’s Health said in a statement obtained by The Dallas Morning News.
