Sutter to cut 154 jobs under new staffing model: 3 things to know

Sutter Care at Home, Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health's home care program, plans to cut 154 jobs in Northern California, according to The Sacramento Bee.

Here are three things to know about the job cuts.

1. The job cuts will affect medical coding and administrative positions. The positions will be outsourced or consolidated.

2. Regarding the job cuts, Karen Stander, chief home health executive for Sutter Care at Home, told The Sacramento Bee the home care program "made the difficult decision to move to a new staffing model that reduces some non-patient-care positions."

3. Sutter began cutting jobs this month and will continue to do so through March, according to the article.
