Richmond University Medical Center in NY to Expand Outpatient Services

Staten Island, N.Y.-based Richmond University Medical Center is planning to expand its clinical services in the community, according to a Staten Island Advance report.

RUMC wants to double the number of its off-site outpatient clinics, bringing the total to 20 within the next 18 months. The hospital plans to offer pediatric care at the clinics and to create school-based clinics.

The hospital is also planning to open an ambulatory surgery and urgent care center. In addition, it is finalizing a clinical affiliation with The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York that will restore cardiac services to RUMC.
