University of South Florida Opens $38M Medical Learning, Simulation Center

The University of South Florida has opened its Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation in Tampa, according to a Tampa Bay Times report.

The $38 million, 90,000-square-foot center includes the Surgical & Interventional Training Center with three surgical skills labs, a trauma operating room, a robotics training room and a hybrid OR. The facility also includes the Education Center, the Virtual Patient Care Center and the Tampa Bay Research & Innovation Center.

Unlike most other training facilities, CAMLS offers training to all members of a medical team, including physicians, nurses and technicians.
