The nurses were previously working under a short-term, nine-month contract. Once that contract expired, hospital administrators and nurses battled over terms of benefits, pay and staffing levels. According to the report, hospital leaders’ latest proposal includes higher contributions for healthcare and minimal raises.
Hospital leaders are scheduled to meet with nurses next week.
