The hospital did not specify which departments were affected by the cuts, according to the report. A spokesperson said it will cut the 10 positions but create two new management positions, with one focusing on nursing and the other on clinical quality.
St. Francis has roughly 2,000 full- and part-time employees. Hospital President and CEO Robert Granger said the new management structure is “more nimble and should allow the organization to adapt and move quickly as health care continues to change,” according to the report.
