South Nassau Communities Hospital awarded 3 national honors in 2016

Oceanside, N.Y.-based South Nassau Communities Hospital earned national recognition this year for excellence in delivery of home healthcare, dialysis and stroke care services.

“These awards underscore our ongoing commitment to quality,” Richard Murphy, president and CEO of 455-bed SNCH, said in a prepared statement. “We are constantly looking for ways to improve patient care and patient satisfaction, so it’s reassuring to see that we are receiving national recognition for these efforts in a number of key service areas.”

Below are the national awards SNCH garnered in 2016.  

  • SNCH earned a spot on HomeCare Elite’s list of the top 25 percent of home healthcare providers in the U.S. for the 11th consecutive year.
  • SNCH’s Outpatient Dialysis Center in Oceanside was awarded a five-star quality rating from CMS’ Dialysis Facility Compare ratings service.
  • The hospital was recognized for its commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment. For the fourth year in a row, the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines program awarded SNCH its Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus.
