Ms. Herrmann was elected by the full board, which oversees governance for the health system, according to a Jan. 18 news release. She will replace Barb Everist, who retired from the board after her term expired at the end of last year.
In addition to Ms. Herrmann, the Sanford Health board also elected Neil Gulsvig, a trustee since 2019, as chair of the board.
Since 2019, Ms. Herrmann served on the board of the Good Samaritan Society, which provides home health services in Rapid City, S.D., and is currently vice chair, according to Sanford Health’s news release. She is chief banking officer for Security First Bank.
Mr. Gulsvig is founder and CEO of software firms Align and ActivLife, according to Sanford Health’s news release. He has decades of experience in the post-acute healthcare sector.
