Saint Louis University Hospital changes vendors; 100 jobs affected

Plans are in place for Aramark to lay off 100 employees who work at Saint Louis University Hospital, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The layoffs, which are scheduled for February, are due to the hospital's decision to change vendors, according to the report.

SLU Hospital, which is part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, has a contract with Philadelphia-based Aramark for housekeeping services. However, that contract is ending and SLU Hospital is contracting with a new vendor, Wayne, Pa.-based Crothall Healthcare.

SLU Hospital spokeswoman Laura Keller told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the housekeepers will have the option of applying for a job with Crothall Healthcare.
