The nurses will protest from 2 to 6 p.m. that day in opposition to what they call inadequate nurse staffing for emergency care and in other hospital departments.
The California Nurses Association/National Nurses United said nurses are also protesting the alleged practice of the hospital turning patients away from care or sending them home prematurely, according to the report.
Kaiser officials have denied the allegations, claiming union officials have mischaracterized issues.
The report did not disclose a specific number of nurses expected to picket, although it did say the California Nurses Association represents 17,000 Kaiser RNs.
