Regent Surgical Health, an industry-leading surgery center management and development company specializing in hospital and physician ambulatory surgery center (ASC) joint ventures, today announced the hiring of Bob Ryan as the company's new vice president of operations for the north eastern United States.

In this role, Ryan will leverage his 25 years of experience working with physician partnerships in multi-site healthcare facilities as he oversees daily operations for multiple Regent surgery centers and works with administrators and surgery center management to ensure clinical readiness.

“We are rapidly growing our footprint in the north east and were looking for someone who could strategically drive our business forward while staying true to our mission of improving both the patient and the physician experience,” said Regent President Chris Bishop. “Bob is a talented healthcare executive with strong multi-site management and operations experience. He brings a wealth of expertise to Regent and our hospital and physician ASC joint ventures. We are proud to welcome him to our team.”

“Regent Surgical Health has a wonderful reputation and a proven track record of building strong relationships with physicians and hospitals,” stated Ryan. “The landscape for ASCs is changing and the players who are aligned with healthcare systems are very well positioned. Regent is in the sweet spot and positioned for solid growth. I’m thrilled to be part of the team and look forward to contributing to the Regent’s continued success.”

Prior to joining Regent, Ryan served as senior vice president at TLC Vision for 20 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Rutgers University, Ernest Mario College of Pharmacy.
Regent is currently partnering in more than 20 surgery centers in the United States and two in Europe.
