A poll conducted from Feb. 20-24 by the Post alongside ABC News found that Americans still want some restrictions to stay in place against COVID-19. Around half of the 1,011 respondents said the pandemic was only somewhat under control, and 15 percent said it wasn’t at all under control.
Nearly 60 percent of respondents said it was important to control the spread of the disease, even if that meant having some restrictions to daily life. Around 35 percent of people strongly believe it is important to have some COVID-19 restrictions, but 30 percent also strongly believed the opposite and stood for their removal.
