The planning board is charged with handling the State Environmental Quality Review for the proposed project. According to the report, the project could have a moderate to large impact on elements related to land, surface water, groundwater, air, archaeological resources, transportation, energy, noise, odor and light, human health, community plans and community character.
Utica-based Mohawk Valley Health System will now prepare an environmental impact statement to address the board’s findings. The health system will present its plans to address these issues at the next board meeting scheduled for May 17.
