President of CareAllies discusses leadership styles

Strong leadership is essential for the success of any organization, but there isn't a one-size-fits-all leadership style perfect for health systems. Many top executives are most effective as leadership chameleons, shifting between styles based on the situation.

Leadership styles differ from executive to executive. To effectively lead, one must understand who it is they're leading. One executive shared their personal leadership style and philosophies with Becker's.

The executive featured in this article is speaking at the Becker's Healthcare 13th Annual Meeting on April 3-6, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

As part of an ongoing series, Becker's is talking to healthcare leaders who will speak at our conference. The following answer is from a speaker at the event.

Question: Describe your leadership style and how you 'lead' others.

Rob Cetti, President of CareAllies (Philadelphia): My leadership style involves enabling team members to think strategically while remaining focused on the big picture. In order to accomplish this, transparency is also essential. As a lifelong learner myself, I think it's critical to encourage curiosity and promote creativity. My job as a leader is to empower our employees so they can design and implement innovative solutions for our customers that simplify value-based care instead of adding new layers of complexity.
