PM Pediatrics gets advisory board: 3 things to know

Lake Success, N.Y.-based PM Pediatrics, one of the nation's largest providers of specialized pediatric urgent care, has a new advisory board.

Here are three things to know about the advisory board.

1. The PM Pediatrics Board of Advisors will meet quarterly, according to a news release.

2. The six professionals on the advisory board include:

  • Arthur Dresdale, MD, Aetna's Northeast senior medical director for clinical consulting strategy and analysis
  • Raymond Falci is a senior advisor at the investment bank Cain Brothers. He works with a focus on healthcare intranet technologies and revenue cycle management, healthcare distribution, specialty pharmacy and pharmacy benefit management sectors.
  • Douglas Fox formed Renaissance Brands in 2001, which supports private equity and venture capital portfolio companies in their due diligence, deal negotiations, executive coaching and business development efforts, the release states.
  • Michael Howe has led a private consulting practice since 2008, with a client list of Fortune 500 companies, urgent care organizations, marketing services companies, financial organizations and several digital marketing and supply chain security startups.
  • Michael M.E. Johns, MD, is an internationally recognized leader in academic medicine, health policy, and as a head and neck cancer surgeon.
  • Joseph Wright, MD, is professor and chairman of pediatrics at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

3. Commenting on the advisory board, Steven Katz, co-founder of PM Pediatrics, said in the release: "PM Pediatrics is fortunate to have such a distinctive group of highly qualified and experienced people to turn to for counsel on issues that can have a significant impact on our business.
