The health system plans to replace 187-bed St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo., with a new hospital and a multispecialty group clinic. In addition to the St. John’s Mercy Hospital construction, Mercy’s eight-year plan includes four new facilities, which may include expanded urgent care centers. The capital improvements will be funded by cash from operations.
Mercy will hire a total of 41 physicians to serve the renovated facilities.
