OHA appoints Dr. Sejal Hathi as new director

The Oregon Health Authority has a new leader after Gov. Tina Kotek appointed Sejal Hathi, MD, to the post, according to multiple reports.

Dr. Hathi will take up the new role Jan. 16, according to a Nov. 6 Lund Report article.

A former senior policy adviser for public health at the White House, Dr. Hathi is a trained physician with degrees from both Yale University and Stanford University, with time spent as a resident physician at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital.

OHA has been without a full-time director since March after Ms. Kotek's original choice, James Schroeder, resigned after just seven weeks on the job.
