The nurses, represented by National Nurses United, held a one-day strike on March 4, which was estimated to cost the hospital $4 million.

When the nurses scheduled the strike, they cited attempts to cut nurses’ pay as well as a lack of progress on resolving alleged patient safety problems and nursing standards as reasons for the lack of agreement.

Specific details of the contract will not be released until the contract is ratified, according to the report.
