The nurses are displeased with what they consider to be a lack of progress in contract talks with ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, NMC’s parent. The main issues are staffing levels and wages, according to the report.
Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association represents about 400 registered nurses at NMC, and their contract is set to expire next week.
