NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital renames spine hospital after $25M donation

New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital will rename The Spine Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian following a $25 million gift.

The hospital will be named The Daniel and Jane Och Spine Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian to honor philanthropists Mr. Daniel Och and Ms. Jane Och. The hospital provides treatment for a range of conditions, from common arthritic and degenerative spine illnesses to rare spinal deformities.

NewYork-Presbyterian established the spine hospital in 2015 after recruiting three orthopedic spinal surgeons: Lawrence Lenke, MD, surgeon-in-chief and director of spinal deformity surgery; K. Daniel Riew, MD, director of cervical spine surgery; and Ronald Lehman, Jr., MD, director of degenerative and minimally invasive spine surgery.
