According to the news report, the hospital will eliminate a 38,000-square-foot addition, bringing the total construction project’s cost down from $32 million to approximately $20 million. The construction changes come after two straight years of losses totaling $10 million and an anticipated $2 million loss in 2011.
The project still includes some other renovations, including renovations to the emergency room, surgical department and nursing home.
