California’s Mills-Peninsula Medical Center Opens

Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame, Calif., opened and began treating patients yesterday, according to a release by the hospital.

The 241-bed hospital is part of Mills-Peninsula Health Services, an affiliate of Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.

The 450,000-square foot hospital replaces the existing Peninsula Medical Center, and patients at the old facility have been transferred to the new hospital. The new facility features all private rooms with family sleeping accommodations, an expanded emergency department and meditation gardens.
