Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in California Marks Halfway Point in $350M Construction Project

Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, Calif., has placed the last beam on its new patient care center, marking a halfway point in its $350 million construction project, according to a Mercury News report.

The 250,000-square-foot, 238-room facility will be attached to the existing hospital buildings and is expected to open in early 2014.
