Navicent Health CEO named Person of the Year by Georgia newspaper

Ninfa M. Saunders, PhD, MBA, MSN, president and CEO Macon, Ga.-based Navicent Health, has been named the “2014 Person of the Year” by The Telegraph, central Georgia’s daily newspaper.

The Telegraph editors and reporters selected Dr. Saunders as the recipient for this award for her efforts to consolidate local healthcare options, collaborate with competitors and increase central Georgia’s medical profile.

“It is such a surprise to be chosen as central Georgia’s Person of the Year. I humbly accept this award on behalf of the employees and physicians at Navicent Health, and those who depend on Navicent Health for their care. Without each of these people, our successes would not be possible,” Dr. Saunders said.
