Mississippi’s Neshoba County General Moves Forward With Public Financing Plan for $53M Facility

Trustees of Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia, Miss., said they intend to move forward with a public financing plan to use federal loans and grants to build a $53 million facility, according to a report by The Neshoba Democrat.

Trustees voted unanimously to terminate the hospital’s relationship with Quorum Health Resources after 17 years.

A growing number of Neshoba business and political leaders said they would consider more than one option to finance construction of a new hospital, including proposals from the private sector, according to the report.
