Michael Kors and husband donate $750k to Memorial Hospital

Fashion designer Michael Kors and husband, Lance LePere, donated $750,000 to Belleville, Ill.-based Memorial Hospital in memory of Ms. LePere’s parents, who were involved with hospital, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.

Harold LePere, an architect, had helped design the hospital. Both he and his wife served on the hospital’s board of directors. Dixie LePere died after a long battle with breast cancer in 2003.

The hospital’s foundation will name the breast health center the Harold and Dixie LePere Breast Health Center in honor of Mr. Kors and Mr. LePere’s donation.
