Miami Jewish Health Systems to cut 72 positions after contract termination

Miami Jewish Health Systems will cut 72 positions after terminating a housekeeping contract with Wayne, Pa.-based Crothall Healthcare, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The layoffs will include 60 housekeepers, six floor technicians, two lead housekeepers, two administrative assistant, an operations manager and a unit director, who were all employed under the contract.

Miami Jewish Health Systems will contract with a different housekeeping service. It is unclear why the health system is terminating the contract or which housekeeping service they will contract with.
