MGMA president receives Maverick of the Year award

Englewood, Colo.-based Medical Group Management Association President and CEO Halee Fischer-Wright, MD, was named Maverick of the Year at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The award honors a female leader who’s implemented the most positive change on an organization or industry in 2016.

The award was presented on Nov. 18 in New York City. Dr. Fischer-Wright also received the Bronze Award for Executive of the Year and the Silver Award for Woman of the Year.

“It is an honor for MGMA to be recognized by the Stevie Awards for the incredible work we have done for and with our members and customers over the past year,” said Dr. Fischer-Wright. “As the leader in the business of healthcare, MGMA is constantly working to ensure our members and customers stay ahead of the changes in our industry, help shape those changes and are well-positioned for success within the shifting environment.”
