The 114-bed facility will open in two phases, with the first scheduled for December. The first phase will include the emergency department, operating rooms, ICU and all ancillary and support services. A cancer center, birthing center, breast center, catheterization lab and physical therapy will open in the second phase, according to the report.
The facility, which is part of Houston-based The Methodist System, could be expanded to 400 beds in the future.
