Mercy Proposes $1.7M Renovation After Denied CON Application in Illinois

Mercy Health System, based in Janesville, Wis., has submitted a $1.7 million plan to renovate Harvard (Ill.) Hospital, according to a Northwest Herald news report.

The seven-month renovation plan includes 10 private patient rooms and a bariatric room. The health system has submitted requests for a permit to temporarily move medical/surgical beds to the long-term care department and a permit for the construction. This renovation plan was announced after Mercy was denied a request to build a hospital in McHenry County, Ill.
