The health system plans to build the new 20,000-square-foot facility on a 24-acre plot of land it purchased 12 years ago. According to the news report, the facility is part of a three-phase expansion plan that will later include specialty clinics and an inpatient hospital.
The new facility will dedicate 60 percent of its space to the planned Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center Emergency North, a 24-hour emergency department. The remaining 40 percent of the facility will be committed to Mercy Health System Clinic North, a primary care clinic.
