The layoffs will take effect in 60 days, according to the report. Employees affected oversee hospital billing and other business office matters. Fifteen were offered jobs at a new center in Roseville, Calif., built by Memorial Medical Center’s parent, Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.

Employees with business office duties were alerted in the fall that their jobs would be moved to a new center, and they could be eligible for opportunities in Roseville, according to the report. The new center will consolidate business operations, but most of the employees who received pink slips did not apply for jobs in Roseville, according to the report.
