Memorial Hospital and Clinic considers partnership with CHRISTUS Health: 3 things to know

Sulphur Springs, Texas-based MemorialHospital and Clinic has signed a non-binding letter of intent for partnership with Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health, an international Catholic nonprofit health system, according to a KLTV report.

Here are three things to know about the proposed deal.

1. Under the proposed deal, CHRISTUS would take over management and operation of Memorial, according to KLTV. CHRISTUS would own at least 51 percent of the organization, while the Hopkins County Hospital District would own around 49 percent.

2. CHRISTUS Health plans to invest in Memorial's facilities and services, as well as the communities that the hospital serves.

3. It could take 90 days or longer to finalize the proposed deal, officials said, according to KLTV.
