The CEOs of U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best Children’s Hospitals include several leaders who have held the role for a decade.
The 10 Honor Roll hospitals were featured as part of an annual evaluation of pediatric hospitals by speciality and location. The facilities on this list received the highest rankings across all specialties.
Here are the Honor Roll hospitals in alphabetical order, along with their leaders:
- Boston Children’s Hospital: Kevin Churchwell, MD, has served as CEO since 2021.
- Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora): Jena Hausmann was named president in 2011 and CEO in 2015.
- Children’s Hospital Los Angeles: Paul Viviano was appointed president and CEO in 2015.
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia: Madeline Bell, BSN, became CEO in 2015.
- Children’s National Hospital (Washington, D.C.): Michelle Riley-Brown was named president and CEO in 2023.
- Cincinnati Children’s: Steve Davis, MD, has served as president and CEO since 2021.
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio): Timothy Robinson was named CEO in 2019.
- Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego): Patrick Frias, MD, has served as president and CEO since 2019.
- Seattle Children’s Hospital: Jeff Sperring, MD, was named CEO in 2015 and plans to retire in 2026.
- Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston): Debra Sukin, PhD, was appointed president in January 2024 and CEO in October 2024.
