Meet the 6 women leading Walmart and Amazon's health enterprises

Amazon and Walmart have buffed their healthcare teams, tapping executives from healthcare companies nationwide. Here are the six women leading the charge.

The following names are listed in alphabetical order:

Jennifer Becker. Head of Operations and Clinical Programs at Amazon Care. Ms. Becker has worked with Amazon since October. She previously worked at Seattle Children's Hospital for 14 years. In her last role at the hospital, she was the vice president of ambulatory services.

Jinali Desai, PharmD. Vice President of Walmart Health & Wellness. Dr. Desai has had roles at Walmart since her first position with the company in 2008 as an intern. She previously worked as a pharmacy intern at Humana.

Bianca Eyherabide. Head of Payer/Partner Strategy of Amazon Care. Before Ms. Eyherabide took her position at Amazon Care in May, she worked for Optum as the vice president of payer contracting and contract operations since 2018.

Lori Flees. Senior Vice President and COO of Walmart Health & Wellness. Ms. Flees has worked with Walmart since 2014. She received her MBA at Boston-based Harvard Business School.

Gloria Goins. Head of Health Equity and Business Development of Amazon. Ms. Goins is responsible for building customer-based initiatives and partnerships that drive growth, with the objective of improving health equity in underserved communities. She previously served as the chief diversity and inclusion officer at Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System for more than four years.

Cheryl Pegus, MD. Executive Vice President of Walmart Health & Wellness. In her role, Dr. Pegus will develop Walmart's healthcare vision and lead the sector in its latest health ventures. Dr. Pegus previously worked as the chief medical officer of Cambia Health Solutions.
