Lawerence Denney, Idaho’s secretary of state, said activists  had collected the 56,192 signatures required to place the measure on the ballot. Medicaid expansion supporters argue the policy would provide coverage for an additional 62,000 residents. Idaho is one of only 18 states that has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA.

Utah voters will also be able to vote on Medicaid expansion in November, and activists in Nebraska and Montana are pushing to get the measure on ballots in those states as well.
