Maryland gubernatorial candidate to host healthcare rally with Sen. Sanders

Ben Jealous, a democratic candidate for governor of Maryland, will hold a rally Wednesday in Baltimore with Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to unveil his healthcare plan, according to

Mr. Jealous, former CEO of the NAACP, supported Mr. Sanders' presidential nomination in 2016 and said he wants to create a universal healthcare system in Maryland.

"We need courageous leadership at the state level to protect Marylanders and create a system where everyone has quality, affordable healthcare no matter what happens in Washington," Mr. Jealous said, according to "My plan will do that and move us another step closer to a day where healthcare is finally a right and not a privilege for all Marylanders."
