Martin Memorial Health System in Stuart, Fla., is changing its name to Martin Health System, according to a system news release.
The change in name is meant to reflect the system’s “enhanced scope of services.” What started as a small hospital in 1939 has evolved into a two-hospital system with physician offices, heart and cancer centers, rehabilitation centers and other services.
“The name change is subtle, but it represents an enhanced level of sophisticated services and high-quality care that we are able to offer Treasure Coast residents,” Miguel Coty, vice president and chief marketing communications officer for Martin Health System, said in the news release.
