Ms. Tavenner was with CMS for five years, serving as administrator from May 2013 to February 2015. Before joining CMS, she was secretary of health and human resources of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Now as a board member for LifePoint Hospitals, Ms. Tavenner will be on the board’s Audit and Compliance Committee, Compensation Committee, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and Quality Committee.
